JURA W4: the straightforward black-coffee choice

The JURA W4 is the sensible option for a smaller workplace that mainly drinks espresso, coffee and americano. There is no fresh-milk system to look after, so daily cleaning is simple and the machine can be placed almost anywhere with a plug and a worktop.

For a smaller client-facing office, this is often the sweet spot. It feels premium, does not require a mains water connection and avoids the cost of stepping up to a larger X-line machine. The trade-off is the daily milk clean. Fresh milk always brings a little more responsibility.

W4 vs W8: make the decision on milk

Capacity does not separate these two machines; both are designed for up to 50 drinks per day. The deciding question is much simpler: will people genuinely use fresh milk?

• Choose the W4 if espresso, americano and black coffee cover most demand.

• Choose the W8 if cappuccino, latte and flat white are expected rather than occasional requests.

If you are unsure, ask the team. A two-minute staff survey is more useful than guessing and can prevent years of paying for a feature nobody uses.

JURA X10: the all-rounder for many medium offices

The JURA X10 is the model we expect many medium-sized professional offices to land on. It combines up to 100 drinks per day with fresh milk, a broad drinks menu and genuine Cold Brew.

It is more flexible than the W8, with a larger water tank and the option of a mains water connection. That matters when the machine is used heavily: fewer refills can make a noticeable difference to the people responsible for the kitchen.

The X10 still uses a single bean hopper. Occasional decaf can be handled through the ground-coffee chute, but an office with steady decaf demand may be better served by a dual-grinder machine.

X4 vs X10: same capacity, different experience

Both machines are designed for up to 100 drinks per day. The X4 wins on simplicity. The X10 wins on variety.

The JURA GIGA X3 steps into genuinely high-demand territory. It is designed for up to 150 drinks per day, can prepare two milk-based drinks at once and uses a large one-kilogram bean hopper.

The standard X3 is tank-fed, while the X3c is the mains-connected version. For a busy office, plumbing the machine in can remove a surprising amount of daily interruption. The important limitation is that it still has one grinder.

Best for: larger offices with heavy fresh-milk demand where one main coffee bean—or occasional pre-ground decaf—is enough.

JURA GIGA X8 / X8c: the dual-bean option for the busiest sites

The JURA GIGA X8 is built for up to 200 drinks per day and uses two bean hoppers with two grinders. That makes it the clearest JURA choice when regular and decaf coffee both need to be available at the touch of a button.

It also handles two milk drinks at once, which helps during the morning rush. As with the X3, the ‘c’ version is mains-connected. The extra capacity and second grinder are valuable when they solve a real problem; otherwise they are expensive features to leave unused.

Best for: large offices, serviced workplaces and high-demand client areas where speed and a true second bean choice matter.

Do you really need two bean hoppers?

Decaf is one of the most common reasons businesses move towards the GIGA X8. Sometimes that is absolutely the right call. Sometimes a small amount of pre-ground decaf beside a single-grinder machine is enough.

Look at actual demand before deciding. If decaf is ordered several times an hour, a second grinder improves convenience and removes user error. If it is requested twice a day, the bypass chute may save a significant amount of money.

When JURA may not be the right fit

We like JURA machines, but they are not the answer to every brief. Another commercial system may be more suitable if you need:

• Powdered or granulated milk to reduce fresh-milk handling

• Dairy and non-dairy powder in separate canisters

• More than 200 drinks per day from one drinks point
